Nancy Kohler, age 82, of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully at her home on December 21, 2025, under the compassionate care of Ohio’s Hospice, following a period of declining health.
She was born on November 27, 1943, to the late Raymond and Lillie (Pittman) McWilliams. After completing her education, Nancy began her career at Timken New Philadelphia, where she became a highly respected precision roller inspector. It was there that she met a fellow employee who captured her heart. Eight years later, she married her soulmate and best friend, David E. Kohler, and together they shared a beautiful life and love story.
Nancy and Dave cherished spending time in nature at their cabin at Clendening Lake. She had a true green thumb and found joy in tending to her garden. An avid cat lover, Nancy also loved being in the kitchen, where she enjoyed both cooking and baking. Her other pastimes included following sports—especially football—sewing, crocheting, and creating various crafts.
Nancy will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband, Dave; her two special nieces, Cara Kohler and Pat Liggett; her sister, Bonnie Zavasky; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings.
No public services are scheduled.
