Nancy Lou Guy, 81, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Country Club Retirement Center in Dover, after a period of declining health. Born April 21, 1941, in Diller, Nebraska, she was the daughter of the late Leland Everett and Amy Marjorie (Roden) Clary.

On March 2, 1957, Nancy married John William “Buck” Guy, Sr. with whom she enjoyed nearly 45 years of loving marriage until his passing on August 19, 2001. They are survived by a daughter, Rose (James) Schlabach; two sons, Lawrence (JoAnn) Guy and Phillip (Donna) Guy; grandchildren, Zach (Rosa) Guy, Zara (Greg) Geiger, and Trever (Karen) Miller; and great-grandsons, Luke and Jake Miller. Nancy is also survived by her brother, George Clary; numerous nieces and nephews; several stepchildren and step grandchildren; and her dear feline companion, Molly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Rose Matzner, Marilyn Frye, Cheryl Shank, Carol Wilcox, Ruthanna Taylor, Loren Clary, and John Clary, and son-in-law, Jeff Miller.

Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker who had also been a caregiver with Ember Complete Care after her husband passed. She will be remembered by many for her skillful seamstress work, having made countless wedding dresses and square dancing dresses over the years. She was also a wonderful baker. In her later years, she enjoyed making greeting cards with her daughter.

According to Nancy’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation. Her family will celebrate her life with a private, family service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice.
