Neil N. Landis – February 22, 2023

Neil N. Landis, 76, of Newcomerstown, passed away on February 22, 2023, at home. He was born October 15, 1946, in Dover to the late Neilan Landis Sr. and Mary (Sherban) Landis.

Neil was a 1964 Newcomerstown High School graduate. He was a retired truck driver. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, loved tinkering in his garage and was known to fix anything with a motor.

On January 16, 1965, he married Rosemary (Rogers) “Rosie” Landis who survives. They were married for over 58 years. Also surviving are his two sons, Skip and Steve Landis; granddaughters, Alisha (Ryan) Wilson, Paige Smith, McKenzie Moore, Emma (Mitchell) Meeks, Elizabeth Landis (Calvin Kohman); great-granddaughters, Hayden and Kendal; great-grandsons, Blaine, Wesley, Roman, and Lincoln; his sisters, Jeanne Cantor, Teresa (Sean) Stewart; brothers, Roni (Sue) Landis, Rick (Mary) Landis; brother-in-law, Duke Heller; sisters-in-law, Carol Rogers and Nancy Julien.

In addition to his parents, Neil was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Landis; brothers-in-law, Vernon Elliott, Dick Cantor, Marshall Julien; sister-in-law, Wanda Heller; nephews, Vernon Elliott II, Richard Cantor; niece, Richelle Cantor; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Buck and Martha Rogers; and his beloved dog, Buddy.

A memorial service for Neil will be on Friday, March 3, 2023, at 1 pm at Addy Funeral Home with Rev. Bracken Foster officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 2, 2023, from 4 to 6 pm and again on Friday from 12 to 1 pm prior to the service.
