Nelson D. Yoder, 89, of Beach City, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Aultman Compassionate Care Center.

He was born near Barrs Mill on May 1, 1933, to the late Noah and Emma (Pfeister) Yoder and married Ida Chupp on August 24, 1954, and she survives.

He retired from the Timken Company in 1994 following 42 years of service.  He was a member of the Burning River Church in Dover.  He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for 22 years.

In addition to his wife, Ida, he is survived by children, Diane (Art) Miller of Nashville, Sharon (David) Yoder of Mount Eaton, Brenda (late Tim) Carrick of Beach City, Cindy (Bob) Warther of Strasburg, Connie (Tod) Rex of Bolivar, Randy (Ann) Yoder of Massillon and Donna Stout of Millersburg; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Lester, Robert and Mervin Yoder; and a sister, Edna Yoder.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Henry and Melvin (Martha) Yoder; a baby sister; and an infant granddaughter.

Friends may call on Sunday, June 5, 2022, from 2-5 PM at the Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton.  Memorial services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at the Burning River Church, 420 W. 3rd Street, Dover, with Pastor Dode Overton officiating.  Graveside services will be held prior to 9:30 am at the Welty Cemetery near Brewster.
