The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District has appointed a new member to their board of directors.

Karl Gebhardt was named and his service to Ohio, in line with MWCD, includes leading farmland preservation efforts, he has been the deputy director of Water Resources, and the chief of the Division of Surface Water for the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, among other state appointed position related to water quality and natural resources.

Members of the board are appointed by the Conservancy Court to help oversee operations and business affairs for MWCD, who manages over 58,000 acres of land and water for public use.
