A new director is in charge of the Tuscarawas County Board of Elections.
Brian Swartzwelder says a reorganizational meeting was held Thursday.
BOE Director “The board motioned to make me the director and then they made a motion to make Mark Waltz the chairman of the board.
Swartzwelder takes over the position from Gail Garbrandt.
The board decided to not vote on a deputy director. They are expected to revisit that position appointment after the primary election.
Meanwhile, the elections board tabled discussion on consolidating several polling locations until Monday, March 10th.
