The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District is sharing details about a new opportunity for lakefront living that’s coming to Atwood Lake.
Director of Marketing and Communications Adria Bergeron says the MWCD is developing Windward Shores, its first new cottage site area at the lake in more than 50 years.
The project includes 18 lots on the lake’s south side, located in a wooded area off State Route 542 east of the Atwood Yacht Club, will offer access to private docks, beach areas, and walking paths.)
Bergeron says the sites will be sold through a public auction on July 11th, with homeowners leasing the land while building and owning their cottages. There are some regulations.
An informational meeting is scheduled for June 18th at the Atwood Yacht Club from 5 to 7pm. Construction could begin as early as spring of 2027.
