The Tuscora Park is gearing up for opening day on Memorial Day weekend and they have a new generation of workers.

RTY Management is transitioning leadership ahead of the rides, concessions, and other attributes opening for 2023.

The concession stand manager will be Lindsey Nicholson, and her responsibilities include recruitment, training, and staff scheduling; along with, ensuring food and other supplies are ready for purchase.

For the rides, Joe Stephon has been named as ride operations manager and Jim Hobart will be the ride maintenance manager.

Stephon is employed by the East Central Ohio Educational Resource Center and at Tuscora Park, will manage the teenage staff.

Hobart is experienced with the vintage rides at the New Philadelphia Park, having worked as the maintenance assistant for many years.

Mayor Joel Day indicates that crews are preparing the park for the upcoming season.

“RTY is getting the Tuscora Park rides ready to open including a newly refurbished Ferris wheel. There will be a rededication ceremony for the Ferris wheel on Sunday, May 28th at 3pm.”

In addition, the Manager of the Park Place Youth Center will be Jordyn Starkey. The RTY Board of Directors also has new leaders with Greg Ress elected to the chairman position.
