A new council member has been selected for the City of Uhrichsville.
The Ward 2 seat opened with the resignation of Leigh Ann McCray, who has since been hired as manager for the water park and concession stand. At the latest meeting, Council President Buck Cottrell said they only had one applicant.
“It was Ron Miller, so Ron will be appointed our new Ward 2 [councilman].”
Miller previously served as Uhrichsville council Ward 2 representative before stepping down in 2022.
Mayor Jim Zucal welcomed Miller back.
“Ron and I’ve talked, and he’ll be a great addition to council.”
Miller was officially sworn in Friday morning. The term ends December 31, 2027.
The decision fell to council after the Republican Central Committee was unable to appoint a candidate.
