The Tuscarawas County Democratic Party Central Committee met to select a new candidate for the November general election.
J. Randy Feemster withdrew his name from the ballot and his bid for Tuscarawas County Commissioner.
Kent Watson has now been selected to appear on the ballot. He is retired after a 20 year career at Marlite. Watson’s current activities include serving as a trustee for the local philharmonic, he’s a committee member for the additional build at the homeless shelter, and is chairman of Tuscarawas Valley Heritage Inc.
The Republican nominee for the county commissioner seating, opening with the retirement of Chris Abbuhl, is Mitch Pace.
