Nick McWilliams reporting – The New Philadelphia Ohio State Highway Patrol Post has named their new assistant post commander.
Trooper Jenn Makris has been promoted to sergeant at the post, and will serve as one of the leaders at the law enforcement location.
Makris started as a dispatcher in Ravenna in 2013, before earning her commission in 2016 and being assigned as a trooper at New Philadelphia. She has also been posted in Canton.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Kent State University, and will serve as the assistant post commander after the retirement of Gary Wolfe.
