Amy Wentworth will remain at the helm of the New Philadelphia City School District.

The Board of Education, this week, approved a three-year extension and her term will run until the 2026-27 school year.

Wentworth says she is humbled and grateful to be given this opportunity to continue and better serve the community.

“I feel like we’ve made a lot of progress over the last couple of years and we’ve got some good things started with our new strategic plan that we’ve put into place, a new communications plan that we are implementing, and also with the master facility planning that’s kicking off.”

She adds that, over the next three-years, her goal is to maintain and improve the school’s communication with the New Philadelphia community but also to better the district’s listening skills.
