To help increase the chance for the City of New Philadelphia to receive granting funding, letters of support are needed.
The city is working with OMEGA to potentially get an Ohio Department of Natural Resources grant for the Waterworks Parks Trail.
The recreational path would go around and through Waterworks Park and the grant would fund the trail, which would connect to the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail at the boat ramp. The Towpath runs along the river and Gradall fence line.
The city needs letter of support from the community to increase their application chances. The deadline is March 12th and anyone writing in should email Councilman Mitch Pace at ward2@npohcc.com or to Erin Wright at ewright@omegadistrict.org.
