New Philadelphia city officials know when work will begin to overhaul three of the four downtown quadrants.
Mayor Joel Day told council Thursday that there will be a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, July 2nd, at 1pm.
The County Courthouse quadrant itself will not be included in the redesign.
It’ll take about a year to complete the overall $2.9 million project being funded through Governor Mike DeWine’s Appalachian Community Grant program.
Day has invited dignitaries, such as DeWine, Senator Al Landis, and Representative Jodi Salvo for the groundbreaking.
