Mary Alice Reporting –

Visitors to a park in New Philadelphia will see new signage around the playground to help with communication.

The two new additions have pictures of how a person may be feeling and a park location they may want to go, and on the other side the information will be in Spanish.

Mayor Joel Day says that the communication boards will fill a need at Tuscora Park to make the public space more handicap accessible.

“One of the boards will be placed on the children’s playground adjacent to the main parking lot on Tuscora Avenue NW. The other will be located in the kiddie ride are of Tuscora Park.”

The Park board approved the designed by Lacey Herbert-Stephen and donated by her Lacey PAC Adaptive Movement Center.
