Nick McWilliams reporting – A new staff lieutenant has been named for the Ohio State Highway Patrol Cambridge District.

That district, which includes the New Philadelphia Post, will now have a new assistant district commander in Lieutenant Scott Louive.

Louive started with the patrol in May of 2004 and earned his commission in November, before being assigned to the Canton Post. He served as a sergeant in Wooster and as the assistant commander starting in 2012, before taking on that role in Lisbon and Ravenna.

He earned advanced leadership training from The Ohio State University and the John Glenn College of Public Affairs in 2017, and earned an associate technical studies degree from Kent State University in 2021.
