Tuscarawas County Commissioners have been in the process of hiring a new leader for the local Job and Family Services Office.
The previous director had been placed on administrative leave in September but no official reason was released.
Commissioner Chris Abbuhl says they then began the search for a new director.
“There was a number of good applicants that applied for the position, then it was narrowed down to three.”
The Board has announced that Veronica Spidell will assume to role effective January 29th.
The New Philadelphia graduate has held a variety of roles with the Job and Family Services Office and has also held positions as a Probation Officer for the local Juvenile Court, was a counselor, Executive Dire tor for Leadership Tusc, and was most recently the Manager of Community Services with the ADAMHS Board of Tuscarawas and Carroll County’s.
