A single vehicle crash was fatal for a Newcomerstown man.
New Philadelphia State Highway Patrol Post Sgt. Bill Bower says they were notified Wednesday, around 6:15pm, of the accident on Stocker Ridge Road.
The investigation determined that a Dodge Ram 1500 went off the right side of the road, struck an embankment, and overturned.
“Driver identified as a Howard Boor Jr., of Newcomerstown, 39. His injuries were very, very bad. He was ejected from the vehicle, and he was also pronounced deceased at the scene.”
The investigation continues.
“No seatbelt was used and alcohol is suspected.”
Bower reminds all drivers to never get behind the wheel while impaired.
“We’re asking people if you’re going to participate in drinking alcoholic beverages to just make sure you have a designated driver.”
He also encourages to buckle for every trip.
