Newcomerstown will open its summer festival season with the June Second Saturday this weekend.

It’s from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday in downtown Newcomerstown with the Moonlyters performers from 6 to 9. Jess Moore with Newcomerstown Now says they have been organizing these events for four years.

There will be vendors, a kids’ bounce house and activities, pulled pork dinners for sale, a beer and wine garden where guests can watch the band, and participation from local businesses. Moore says they have big plans for future Second Saturdays.

The Village’s Main Street will shut down at 3pm this Saturday for the festivities. Future events include a kayaking one in July and a pool party in August.
