~ A Mill Township road will once again be briefly closed to all vehicles. Waterworks Hill Road, County Road 37, will be shut down to traffic now through Thursday, from S. Water Street to Newport Road. This is for a slip repair for a section about 100 feet long and one foot wide. Waterworks Road was previously closed, starting in 2020, for a large slip with construction moving the roadway back roughly 40-feet at a cost of about $1.8 million.
~ The Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office and the CIT Steering Committee will hold a one-day seminar. The Crisis Intervention Team refresher course will be eight hours and will provide law enforcement and other participating first responders on updated information and resources in the community related to crisis intervention for behavioral health and special populations. This class is intended for individual who previously graduated from the 40-hour CIT course held at least a year ago. ~ The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District was recently honored with the Horizon Award by the Ashland Soil and Water Conservation District.The prestigious accolade recognizes a pioneer in conservation in the county, with MWCD having, for the past 90 years, been committed to fold reduction, water conservation, and recreational opportunities through collaboration in their watershed district, Ohio’s largest.
