~ Grace Methodist church, at 524 W 3rd St, Uhrichsville, will give out soap and paper products this Saturday, June 29, 2024, between 10am to 1pm. These will be given out at our Fellowship Hall at 534 West First St. right behind the Church. These are free to the public while supplies last.
~ During the month of June, the public is invited to view some of John Barnett’s collection of Life Magazines in the Dover Public Library display cases. Barnett, a well-regarded local historian has given many talks to different organizations including talks on the “Edmund Fitzgerald” which is one of his most popular talks.
The magazines on display feature celebrities from Hollywood’s Golden Age such as Gregory Peck and Errol Flynn, to historical figures and events, including Mark Twain, Franklin Roosevelt, and Winston Churchill, as well as an issue of Life published shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
