~ Effective May 29th, the City of Uhrichsville will have a new law director. Mayor Mark Haney appointed Doug O’Meara to serve in the position. The seat became available following J.J. Ong’s appointment as judge to the Tuscarawas County Southern District Court. O’Meara, is the current Dover city law director but his term ends this year after losing the primary election bid to Gina Space.

~ The Tuscarawas County Public Library System will host summer camps across five locations this summer. The opportunity provides hands-on experience for youth, from Kindergarten through 12th grade, on topics including art, theatre, cooking, STEAM, and more. Information about the free summer camps can be found at the Main, Bolivar, Strasburg, Sugarcreek, or Tuscarawas branch locations. Details and registration are also available at www.tusclibrary.org.

~ The annual Dover Tornado Club Golf Scramble will be held at Oak Shadows Golf Club this Saturday. The price to enter a team is $400 which includes a meal after the round.  In addition, there are a number of prizes available including the opportunity to win a new car. Registration begins at 8:00 AM and there will be a shotgun start at 9:00 AM.
