With a large turnout in support, Mitch Pace will take a seat at the Board of Tuscarawas County Commissioners.
The position is opening following Chris Abbuhl’s decision to retire.
Pace was grateful for the community’s support.
“It’s been a great night with family and friends, and it’s truly humbling to get so much support from everyone across the county and just thank you for that and excited to get to work.”
Pace received over 28,000 of the votes in the preliminary results.
Pace is currently a councilmember for the City of New Philadelphia and says he will remain involved with the Tuscora Park Foundation and the Tuscarawas County Pony Baseball League.
