Nila (Miller) Baad, 91, of Bolivar, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 29, 2022, in her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born August 10, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Busey) Miller. She retired in 1973 as a registered nurse at Union Hospital in Dover. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Bolivar and a 50-year member of the Bolivar Eastern Star.
Nila is survived by her husband of 70 years, Don, whom she married on December 1, 1951. Also surviving are her children Diann (Mike) Koch of Bolivar, Debbie (Tom) Lundenberger of Bolivar, Denise (Mark) Hartzell of Massillon; grandchildren Kristi (Todd) Cropper, Melanie Koch, Bryan (Suzie) Koch, Ryan (Carrie) Lundenberger, Sara Lundenberger, Bret (Kristin) Hartzell, Meagan (Tim) Sanders, and Ashley (Aaron) Lemley; 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Nila was preceded in death by 2 brothers Meredith and Don Miller, and a sister Alma Bybee.
In keeping with Nila’s wishes, no public services are being planned. The Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar is handling the arrangements. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Aultman Hospice and Palliative Care at 2821 Woodlawn Ave. N.W.
