Nominations have opened for the annual Zeisberger Heckewelder Award.

The award recognizes individuals and organizations that have made an outstanding contribution to the community and improved historical knowledge of the county. Up to four individuals and an organization will be selected for the award.

To nominate someone for the award, nominators should submit the nominee’s name, address, and phone number, along with their own name, address, and phone number.

Nominators must also include a written explanation of why the nominee should be considered, as well as a list of their leadership roles and any supporting documents. Nominations must be submitted by February 1st.

Winners will be announced in April and present awards at the Tuscarawas County Historical Society’s annual Founders Day Banquet in May.

Nominations can be dropped off at the Tusc Kent Archive in Founders Hall or be mailed to the Society at:
