Mary Alice Reporting –

The republican and democrat have been named to run in a special election to fill the vacated 6th District Congressional seat.

The seat became available following the former congressman leaving for a university job.

The March 19th primary hosted the race with three vying for the republican nominee, and Michael Rulli won the votes throughout the entire district.

On the democrat side, from the two candidates, Michael Kripchak was the overall winner.

The two will face off in a special June election.
