Mary Alice Reporting – One set of budget items has been approved by the Tuscarawas County Commissioners.
Monday’s board meeting saw the passing of the non-general fund at over $13 million. These monies, through county departments, are based on where revenue comes in the form of fees.
Commissioner Chris Abbuhl explains they work to get these dollars appropriated to allow budgeting at other departments.
“The non-general fund is where we’re putting some dollars into those departments that are not considered part of the general fund. We still have a lot of process to go through yet but we try to get the non-generals done so those departments can go ahead and get their budgets in place and start moving forward.”
Budget work sessions continue for the Tuscarawas Board of Commissioners as they focus on the general operating budget.
