A presentation was given to New Philadelphia Council about a new organization, NPact, and who they are.
Jim Knisley spoke on behalf of the group as they look at ways to improve areas of parking, safety, arts and business, new businesses, empty buildings, and activities and events.
He says the goal is to be an organization to partner with the city to drive projects that will enhance the community.
“Call ourselves NPact, New Philadelphia Advancing Community Together, for the good of all, and our vision is using collaboration, community, and innovation to foster a vibrate community that’s welcoming to citizens, businesses, and visitors.”
Knisley notes that they’ve already met with some new businesses to help guide them on local resources, they are working to educate about DORA’s, and they’ve created a parking committee.
NPact meets monthly and volunteers are needed to help out with proposed activities. The first Wednesday of the month get together is at New Philadelphia council chambers at 8am.
