Officials Investigating Cause of Blaze

No one was reportedly injured during a July 4th structure fire on Oldtown Valley Road SW.

The call came in just before midnight and on arrival, crews found a one-story wood frame home. York Township Fire Department Chief Mark Beitzel says the blaze originated in the basement and spread to the first floor.

Thanks to the assistance of New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas, Arrowhead, and Stone Creek fire departments, units had the fire under control fairly quickly.

A cause is still under investigation.
