Ohio’s Lt. Governor makes a stop at Ridgewood Middle-High School as part of a fitness challenge.

The 90-day journey has personalized goal setting that earns a participate bronze, silver, or gold designations.

During Monday’s assembly for 4th through 7th graders, Jim Tressel says the overall goal is to get young individuals up and moving and create better habits.

 

“Challenge is about fitness, nutrition, and it’s about rest. If you develop great habits for fitness and stay active, moving, and healthy it’s going to help you reach you’re God given potential. We want to build habits. Be used to moving around at the things you like doing. Get used to paying attention to what you’re eating, pay attention to getting good sleep and spending some time in quiet time.”

The Lt. Governor has visited multiple school districts throughout the state as part of an awareness tour on the challenge.

“It’s been a lot of fun to see the excitement the kids have. They’re taking it home getting mom and dad and their siblings involved, and we’ve had great corporation with the school buildings.”
