Gwen Rummell Reporting –
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is reminding motorists to always wear their seatbelt, especially during the upcoming holiday season.
Since 2018, there have been 2,847 Ohioans killed in crashes who were not wearing an available seatbelt.
While Ohio’s safety belt law is a secondary violation, troopers will continue to have a zero tolerance policy when a motorist is found to not be wearing one.
A map containing seat belt violations can be found by going to “Year to Date Highlights” on www.statepatrol.ohio.gov.
