Red Cross volunteers are continuing to support the communities dealing with the aftermath of back-to-back hurricanes.

As of mid-week, the organization had two dozen helpers from northern Ohio still stationed in areas impacted by Helene and Milton.

Regional spokesman Jim McIntyre expects many more deployments in the coming weeks and months.

McIntyre says the Red Cross relies on the public’s generosity and is committed to providing food, shelter, supplies, and other support for as long as needed.
