Tuscarawas County falls at second for the first seven weeks of deer archery season.
According to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, through November 5th, over 51,000 white-tailed deer have been harvested. Last year, during the same time span, roughly 48,500 were checked.
Ohio’s top counties are Coshocton, Tuscarawas, Holmes, Ashtabula, and Trumbull.
Bowhunting is available on both public and private land, and there is a requirement to purchase a hunting license and deer permit.
Archery season runs through Sunday, February 4, 2024.
