The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating an auto accident that claimed a life.

According to the New Philadelphia Post, the Hyundai Santa Fe was traveling southbound on Township Road 108 Wednesday morning, at around 12:50am.

The driver, 43-year-old Kaliesha Cale, of Newcomerstown, failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the roadway. The vehicle then struck a tree and overturned, where Cale sustained fatal injuries.

Assisting at the scene was the Tuscarawas Sheriff’s Office, Newcomerstown Fire Department, Tri-County Ambulance, and the Tuscarawas Coroner’s Office.
