Gwen Rummell Reporting – The Tuscarawas Dog Pound and Humane Society are seeking answers after receiving an abandoned dog.
The dog was brought into the pound by a community member after they discovered him left in a crate on the side of Crooked Run Rd.
Beth Lewis, Facility and Adoption Specialist at the Tuscarawas County Dog Pound, says the dog was filthy and showed obvious signs of neglect.
“The dog’s toenails were overgrown, skinny, infested with fleas, and just covered in feces from head to toe.”
Due to the nature of the incident, the dog will be relocated to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, where an investigation will be held.
