SpringVale, formerly known as Community Mental Healthcare, held an open house and ribbon cutting for their new RapidCare urgent care center and Mobile Health Unit.

The event, held at the new location at 155 Garland Drive SW in New Philadelphia, took place on Thursday.

Executive Director JJ Boroski says the RapidCare center will benefit the public following the closure of another center.

“We know that we had an urgent care here in New Philadelphia, which ultimately closed, and we know the burden that it caused on the

residents of New Philadelphia. We’re happy to have this open as another healthcare option to individuals who need it.”

RapidCare offers medical, mental health, and addiction services. The center has extended hours and will provide walk-in counseling sessions, medication, and referral services for adults and children.

A Mobile Health Unit was also introduced with plans still being discussed.
