Early voting at the Tuscarawas County Courthouse is still an option leading up to Election Day.

Polling locations open on Tuesday, November 7th but for those wanting to cast a ballot before can go to the courthouse or send in an absentee ballot. The final day to request an absentee is October 31st, and the Tuscarawas Elections Office is open until 8:30pm. Anyone coming after 4:30pm must utilize the Ashwood Lane entrance.

Director Gail Garbrandt says that, since early voting began earlier this month, their office has remained busy.

“We have had 2,300 people come in and vote in person, that’s pretty amazing. We have sent out 2,390 absentee ballots.”

For the remainder of this week, the Tuscarawas Elections Office will be open 7:30am to 7:30pm. On Saturday, they’re open from 8am to 4pm and Sunday from 1pm to 5pm. No early voting will happen on Monday, November 6th, the day before the general election.
