Over $9,000 Raised in Tuscarawas Fair Basket Auction

The annual auction held Sunday evening at the Tuscarawas County Fair was a success thanks to bidders.

The total raised from the 11 baskets was $9,800.

Executive Committee Director Jacque Peters says this year they chose to sell picnic baskets, featuring many goodies inside.

The first ten baskets see the proceeds going to continued improvements to the fairgrounds. The money raised from the final basket goes for expenses related to the Tuscarawas County Fair Queen.
