P. Marjean Sampsel, 86, of Sugarcreek passed away at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center in Canton on Friday, April 14, 2023 following a brief illness.

Born in Millersburg on November 7, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Evelyn (Morgan) Mast.  She married Arden “Art” Sampsel on July 19, 1991.  He passed on February 28, 1999.  She was a member of Alpine Bible Church in Sugarcreek where she taught Sunday School.

She is survived by her children Stephanie (Bruce) King of Millersburg, Tamara Wright of Oklahoma, and Stephan (Rosalie) Miller of Massillon; three grandchildren, Lacie King, Lindsay Blades, and TJ Munch; one sister Linda Benard of Jeromesville; and a brother Leland Mast of Kansas City.  In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by three sisters Marilyn Croskey, Maxine Vogt, and Charlene Mast.

Services will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 12:00 noon at Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek with Pastor Byron Stewart officiating.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 am to 12 noon prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Winesburg.
