Tonight’s entertainment at the Kent State Tuscarawas Performing Arts Center is set to provide an early treat to the audience and some local schools.
Pac general manager David Mitchell says they’re welcoming the Swedish a cappella act known as “The Real Group” this evening at 7:30 pm.
“They don’t come over to the United States very often and when they do it’s amazing and we’re so thrilled we were able to get them.”
Choir students from Dover, New Philadelphia, Indian Valley, Sandy Valley, and Kent Tusc will join the performers on stage at the end to close out the concert.
The group will visit area schools Thursday as part of the PAC’s educational outreach initiative.
“These are literally once in a lifetime opportunities for these students that they get to perform with a real group.”
Mitchell says this is also one of the university’s “Pack the PAC” shows, where every ticket is $15, made possible by the support of donors.
