The community is invited for a dedication and ribbon cutting at the Panhandle Park.
The ceremony will help recognize all those who had a hand in creating the green space located at the intersection of E 3rd St in Uhrichsville and Center St.
Previous Uhrichsville Councilman and Park Committee Chair Matt Fox says a lot of work has been done over the last few years.
“Spruce it up. Fix it up to help out with Stillwater cleanup and that, so we’d like to see everybody there. June 14th, we do have an opening ceremony for the Panhandle Park. It’s located right next to certified gas station.”
The Saturday dedication begins at 11:30am followed by a flag raising and National Anthem.
Twin City Chamber of Commerce Director Beth DiDonato says the land was cleared in late 2022 and after that, her group approached businesses and non=profits who’ve been able to help them raise the tens of thousands of dollars needed to develop the park, which will feature a gazebo, walking path, flagpole, and more.
The Panhandle Passage Trial is a 1.1 mile trail connecting the City of Uhrichsville with the Village of Dennison.
