The second annual Parktober Fest in Dover is on Saturday, October 12th, but to enjoy a German-themed meal individuals must buy tickets this week.
They are available at the Dover city park office and McDonald Niklaus Framing in Dover.
Pam Dummermuth with the Dover Community Parks Foundation explains with a fifteen-dollar ticket, individuals get bratwurst, sauerkraut, potato salad, German chocolate cake and homemade root beer.
There will also be a cruise-in, German-themed games and a polka band performing from 3 to 6pm at Dover City Park. Proceeds benefit the Dover Community Parks Foundation.
Mayor Shane Gunnoe says the foundation, established in 2022, is a welcome addition.
He says the city and parks foundation are working together to raise about 250-thousand dollars to build new pickleball courts.
