Patricia Ann Hicks, 83, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Trinity Hospital Twin City in Dennison, Ohio. Born September 23, 1941 in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late John Spitler Harris and Grace Loretta (née, Dick) Harris.
After meeting the man who would be her husband, Junior Ray Hicks, Pat moved from Pennsylvania to Uhrichsville, and they were united in marriage on January 14, 1980. They enjoyed over 18 years of marriage together until his passing on April 26, 1998. Although Pat never had children of her own, she loved Junior’s family like her own and continued to live in Uhrichsville after his passing. She worked at the Burger King on Bluebell Drive in New Philadelphia for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed playing cards and games with her family and friends, and she had attended Roxford Methodist Church until her health prevented her.
Pat leaves behind her sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Jack Wilson; nephews, Keith Oskey and John Harris; stepchildren, Rae Ann Baker and Tim Hicks; step grandchildren, Jennifer Devault, Jason Baker and his wife, Hallie, and John Baker; and many step great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Harris, and stepson-in-law, John Baker.
According to Pat’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation or service. Her family are celebrating her life privately. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions honoring her memory may be made to Roxford Methodist Church, 771 Roxford Church Rd. S.E., Dennison, OH 44621.
