Patricia Annette Barker (Gump), 61, a lifelong resident of Newcomerstown, OH, passed away unexpectedly on December 23, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Patty graduated from Newcomerstown High School and later Kent State University. There she earned an associate degree in accounting, finishing at the top of her class with a 4.0 GPA. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, watching movies, and building LEGO. She was very devoted to God and her family, with whom she spent most of her time.
Patty leaves behind her husband, David, with whom she shared 30 wonderful years. Also, surviving are her daughter, Lindsay Romanetti-Cowden (Kevin) of Westland PA, two sons, David Barker (Kodi) and Derrick Barker (Rachel) both of Dover, OH, and another daughter, Amy Frazier (Derek) of Killbuck, OH. In addition, are her brothers, Steve Gump (Mary) of Winston-Salem, NC, Richard Gump of Newcomerstown OH, and a sister-in-law, Sue Gump of Columbus, OH. She was blessed with 13 beautiful grandchildren she adored who will miss her deeply along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She also leaves behind her 2 faithful companions, her dachshunds, Cotton, and Reese. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Martha (Roupe) Gump and Loren Gump, a brother, John Gump, a son-in-law, Mike Romanetti, and a grandson, Tyson Frazier.
Services will be held at Addy Funeral Home in Newcomerstown on Thursday, December 29, 2022. Visitation will be held from 11-Noon with the funeral immediately following, including burial at Bakersville Cemetery.
