Patricia Lou Taylor May, age 85, of 80210 Blackwell Road, Freeport died peacefully at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2026 in her home.
Born November 2, 1940, in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Nellie Schaffer Taylor.
She attended Uniontown High School. She devoted her life to making a home for her family and enjoyed reading and sewing.
Her husband of sixty-six years, Harold Eugene “Sonny” May, died December 21, 2023. They were married February 20, 1957.
Pat loved to be on the back of a Harley, she actually had her last ride with her grandson, Jamey, a couple years ago. She loved being a Harley Princess.
Also surviving are a daughter, Janet (Rich) Butler of Freeport; two sons: Vince (Tammy) May of Cadiz and Albert May of Freeport; granddaughters: Amanda (Chaun) May, Tara May Miller, Mariah (Bryce) Chura, Snydell (Jack) Collins, Chavon (Dave) Yoder; grandsons: Derek (Mellisa) Boreman, Jamey (Kara) Boreman, Travis Butler, Trace (Kiera) Butler, Kyle (Allie) May, Ryan (Tammy) May, and Randy (Amanda) Marder; great-grandchildren: Issac Kitchens, Little Jamie Miller, Addison Boreman, Cole Boreman, and Ellia Williams; a brother: Jesse (Linda) Taylor; two sisters-in-law: Judith Tilman and Sandy May Tegowski; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Eugene Russell May, a granddaughter, Taylor Jo Butler; three brothers: Pete (Joyce) Taylor, Roger Lee Taylor, Lloyd Taylor; three sisters: Leora (Raymond) Griffith, Clara Daugherty, and Beverly (Wally) Marenelli; mother-in-law, Ruth May; father-in-law, Carl May, Jr., and a brother-in-law, Roger May.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2026, in Koch Funeral Home, 216 S High Street, Freeport.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2026, in the Freeport Church of the Rock, 222 S High Street, Freeport with Pastor Jason Dean and Sandra Cappell officiating. Burial will follow in Minksville Cemetery, Nottingham Township, Harrison County, Ohio.
All are welcome to join the family for a time of fellowship and food after the burial in the basement of The Church of the Rock in Freeport.
