Paula Jayne Wenger, 68, of Strasburg, formerly of Dennison, joined her beloved parents in heaven after leaving her earthly life on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover, after a long period of declining health. Born September 2, 1955 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Harry Delbert and Marjorie Helen (Stucin) Wenger.
A resident of Dennison for most of her life, Paula was a lifelong member of Newport Methodist Church in Uhrichsville. She attended the Starlight Enterprises Workshop for many years. She loved spending time with her family and was very fond of animals, having dearly loved her family’s cats and dogs over the years.
Paula leaves behind her brother, Mark (Debbie) Wenger; sisters, Vicki Page and Darla Achey; several nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as her longtime faithful caregiver, Jody Ware – whom Paula liked to call “Sheila”. Paula’s family are deeply grateful to Jody for all the excellent care she provided over the years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Jack Smith, Dave Achey, and Frank Page, II.
Pastor Kory Rowland will officiate her funeral at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 17, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow beside her parents in Tunnel Hill Cemetery near Bowerston with a private, family graveside service. Paula’s family will receive callers from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions honoring her memory may be made to Newport Methodist Church, P. O. Box 404, Uhrichsville, OH 44683
