Pauline G. (Kandel) Norton, 89, of Lock Seventeen, died Friday morning of December 5, 2025, in Devine Rehabilitation and Nursing at Schoenbrunn under the care of Crossroads Hospice.

Pauline was born on March 26, 1936, at home in Farmerstown, Ohio to the late Joseph and Bernice (Winkleman) Kandel. She attended Sugarcreek/Garaway local schools. She worked as a server in various restaurants in the area and enjoyed bowling and fishing in her free time.

Surviving are her children: Todd Postel of Gnadenhutten, and Howard Dale (Barbara) Postel of Texas; daughter-in-law Paige Postel of Tennessee; thirteen grandchildren, and her brother Paul Kandel.

Along with her parents, Pauline is preceded in death by her husband Nelson C. Norton, her son Rodney D. Norton, one grandchild, daughter-in-law Debbie Postel, and siblings William Kandel, Shirley Raber, and Dale Kandel.

Following Pauline’s wishes, no public services will be held. She will be buried in Glenn Haven Memorial Park in Orlando, Florida.
