
The amount of time spent behind the wheel continues to increase across the nation.
This is according to research from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, which found that collectively, American’s spend 70 billion hours behind the wheel.
Public Relations Manager Jim Garrity points out, from survey findings, men spend 19% more time in the driver seat and go 27% more miles than women.
This leads to a reminder for all to practice safe driving.
“Especially on a longer road trip that they’re taking the appropriate time off the road, making sure their vehicle is well maintained, and making sure that they are adequately covered on their insurance.”
Overall, the average driver spends an estimated one hour per day behind the wheel.
