Perry M. “Matt” Yeager, 54, of New Philadelphia passed away from an apparent heart attack at his home on Monday, April 18, 2022.
Matt was employed at Deflecto in Dover, and in his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Born on April 29, 1967 in Dennison he was a son of Perry D. Yeager of New Philadelphia, and Virginia King Paulshik of Wisconsin. Matt is also survived by his long-time companion, Rebecca Wright; children, Curtis Yeager of Toledo, Caila Yeager of Canton, Ted Smart, Crystal (Cody) Gilbert both of New Philadelphia, Jennifer Smart of Pennsylvania; brother, Pete (Connie) Yeager of Tuscarawas; sister, Debra (Bodie) Tracy of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Owen, Blaze, Franklin, Wyatt, Bowin, Rayna, Kimber and Jr. He was preceded in death by an infant son.
The family will be greeting friends on Friday, April 22nd from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A service celebrating Matt’s life will be held at a later date.
