The Rainbow Connection is hoping to give everyone a reason to tune in as it aims for a new fundraising record this weekend.
The non-profit that’s dedicated to helping disabled and disadvantaged residents of Tuscarawas County has its 53rd annual telethon airing live this Sunday, 11 to 4 p.m., from Tuscarawas Central Catholic Jr./Sr. High School.
Director Perci Garner says board members and guests will be on the phones as viewers call in with their financial pledges. The fundraiser will air on Spectrum Channel 15, YouTube, Facebook, and at TuscRainbow.org.
As part of the telethon’s fundraising total, the weeklong online auction at TuscRainbow.org also comes to an end Sunday at 3 p.m. with more than 100 items up for bid such as getaways, gift baskets, sports memorabilia, and more – all donated for the cause.
The Rainbow Connection Telethon had its best year ever in 2025, bringing in more than 352-thousand dollars through sponsorships, pledges, and auction bids.
